NY: The Children’s Defense Fund-New York (CDF-NY) published a report on School-based Health Centers (SBHCs) in New York State to: highlight their value; ensure their continued sustainability; and establish growth opportunities.  Lorraine Gonzalez-Camastra, the report’s author and director of Health Policy for CDF-NY, was quoted in The Epoch Times raising concerns about SBHCs’ imperiled funding under the state’s Medicaid Redesign.  Gonzalez-Camastra stated, “This [issue] can get lost in the bigger picture of Medicaid reform.  We don’t want it to get lost. If these centers go away … it’s going to affect the public health of our children.”
