The Maryland Citizens Health Initiative Education Fund, Inc.

The Maryland Citizens' Health Initiative established the Maryland Health Care for All! Coalition in 1999. It is the state's largest health care consumer coalition with over 1,200 diverse organizational members, including religious, health, community, labor, and business groups from across the state. The Initiative’s members want to solve Maryland's health care crisis by winning access to quality affordable health care for all Marylanders, especially children.   • There’s Still Time to Enroll! Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative President Writes Op-Ed Leading the Way

    MD: Vincent DeMarco, president of the Maryland Citizens’ Health Initiative, wrote a Baltimore Sun op-ed promoting the benefits and affordability of health insurance coverage available under the ACA and sharing enrollment opportunities before March 31st.  According to DeMarco, 230,000 Marylanders have already benefited from the ACA.

    MD: Vincent DeMarco, president of the Maryland Citizens Health Initiative Education Fund, was quoted in the Baltimore Sun about the 211 phone line campaign to help Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. residents enroll in coverage. The Fund is staffing the phone line and DeMarco said, “I think we’re really going to reach a lot of people. Some people just don’t know where to turn, and the 211 number is really easy to remember.”
