The Children's Partnership

The Children's Partnership (TCP) works in California and nationally to ensure that all children—especially those at risk of being left behind—have the resources and the opportunities they need to grow up healthy and lead productive lives. TCP focuses particular attention on securing health coverage for all children, simplifying and modernizing how families enroll in public programs, and ensuring that the opportunities offered by computers and the Internet benefit all children and families.     CA: Wendy Lazarus, founder and co-president of The Children’s Partnership, published an Op-Ed in the Huffington Post highlighting the essential ACA “ingredients” that California will need to ensure children will have access to coverage. Ms. Lazarus argues the recipe for success requires: establishing a streamlined enrollment system; ensuring enough health care providers are available for children; expanding Medicaid to cover low-income adults who are often parents; implementing the Small Business Health Options Program to connect employees of small businesses to coverage for themselves and their children; ensuring that Essential Health Benefits meet children’s needs; and making coverage under the ACA affordable for children and their families .
