National Council of La Raza (NCLR)

The National Council of La Raza (NCLR)—the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States—works to improve opportunities for Hispanic Americans. Through its network of nearly 300 affiliated community-based organizations, NCLR reaches millions of Hispanics each year in 41 states, Puerto Rico, and the District of Columbia. In collaboration with these organizations, NCLR works to advance policies that provide all children, especially Latino children, with affordable, quality health insurance.     NLCR: The National Council of La Raza issued a press release after it held a briefing to address the opportunities and challenges facing Latinos as they enroll in or renew health coverage under the ACA. The press release recommends that marketplaces make greater use of bilingual materials, increase the availability of navigators, and conduct extensive community outreach to improve Latino enrollment.
